There have been many 10s of 1000s, if not millions, of Same Gender Couples who have, or prior to Marriage Equality, had been in, stable long-term relationships.
At the same time there have been probably the same numbers of Same Gender partnerships which have been “Open relationships” and they. too, have lasted for many decades..
