I chair the DBP and I have lived in the area for 16 years, worked here for 20 and run a small business here for 13.

With the ABN system we have, anyone, ANYONE, who dares work for themselves and not rely on a pay check is a business. You might like to revise your binary world view.

DBP is 90% small indie business. Your suggestion that we are not community is completely ignorant. Or did you just see the world business and lash out?

Regarding funding, it’s a public space why is public money not appropriate?

Having said this. I think the council should provide foundation funding an LGBTI museum at the T2 building but task the board with becoming self funding over the medium terms and I also believe there is a place for private funding for projects like this. It would, however, be tough to get money from the small businesses in Darlo who have had their turnover slashed by 25% since the lockouts.

Do you have a vision for Taylor Square?

However should a light rail go in with overhead wiring it will play havoc with floats at Mardi Gras. As for the heels mixing with light rail tracks – half the fun will be watching the drag queens keel over!

They will expect public funding of course.
