The segment begins with our erstwhile diva, playing herself as a child.聽 Poor Cher is in trouble because she messed up her mom鈥檚 record聽 collection. The reason for this shocking behaviour? Cher just wants to聽 learn all the songs of West Side Story for school. Well, with her abhorrent聽 behaviour now deemed acceptable by mom, a grown-up Cher proceeds聽 to proclaim that she, and only she will play 鈥渁ll鈥� the parts.聽
聽“Ladies and gentlemen, for tonight鈥檚 entertainment, I am proud to聽 present West Side Story. I will be playing all the parts. Thank you,鈥� Cher聽 breathlessly exclaims.聽
The special, which featured an intriguing (and slightly bizarre) guest cast聽 headed by Dolly Parton, Rod Stewart and the Tubes (Parton was also聽 nominated for an Emmy in the category of 鈥楤est Supporting Actress in a聽 Variety or Musical Special鈥�), is must viewing for Cher (and Dolly) fans.聽

In unrelated but equally essential Cher news, the icon herself recently聽 delighted an unsuspecting couple by taking their picture and posting it to聽 her own Twitter account.聽聽
While leaving a Wednesday night screening of Spielberg鈥檚 West Side Story (Cher really has a thing for the show apparently), the singer noticed a聽 blissful couple, with the man taking a picture of his girlfriend. By Cher鈥檚聽own account, the couple was so attractive, she was overcome by an urge聽 to take a photo of them. Unbeknownst to the couple, the mystery聽 photographer (or 鈥渃razy lady鈥�) was in fact our ageless superstar, 75, who聽 was incognito, hidden by her face mask.聽
Cher later tweeted the snap of the couple, and said, 鈥漌hen we were聽 coming out of movie I saw beautiful Couple.He Was taking Her pic鈥�.She聽 had flowers I said 鈥� can I take your Pic鈥�.”Had my mask on so they didn鈥檛聽 Know Who I was. MAYBE Just a crazy woman.. THAT ME” [sic]聽
