Barrie, U don’t think you are any more vain than anyone else. OK, so you go to the gym and workout hard. What’s wrong with that? If it makes you feel good and, particularly in our Super Critica, Agist LGBTIQ+ Community where your acceptance, your popularity hinges greatly on what you look like. how you dress, how well developed your bod is, you are happy in your own skin then why shouldn’t you be?
My Mum has been dead for a long time – and I have lived for almost as long as she did BUT I still go to the Gym 3 or 4 times a week and try to keep healthy and fit – not to attract others (my age has seen to that!) – No, I don’t flaunt around the Gym flexing my muscles in the mirrors or anywhere else, but Yes, I am proud of how I look and I don’t give a flying fuck what others think – and that includes an elder sister who loves to make ever-so snide remarks about “The Body Beautiful” Pity is she won’t do anything about the mess hers is in!
Those who criticise are just either too lazy or jealous to take care of their bodies and health so just ignore them!
