Fans Debate Whether Madonna Came Out As Gay In TikTok Video
Madonna fans have been left scratching their heads after the star鈥檚 most recent TikTok video implied that the Material Girl was part of the LGBTQ+ community.
The 5-second video, posted to Madonna鈥檚 official account, shows the star, 64, dressed in a matching white sleeved bustier and sweat pants and pink hair. She holds a pair of pink panties, while a caption reads, 鈥淚f I miss, I鈥檓 Gay!鈥澛�
Madonna aims and then throws the panties towards a rubbish can and misses her target by a sizeable distance. The icon then shrugs and twirls away from the camera.
The video has amassed over 1.7 million likes since it was posted on Sunday, October 9, just two days before the annual National Coming Out Day.聽
Witnessing Herstory
Among the more than 26-thousand fan comments on the video were statements like, 鈥淵鈥檃ll acting like she hasn鈥檛 been out as queer for decades,鈥� 鈥淲e are witnessing herstory,鈥� 鈥淚 thought she already came out, like, a decade ago. BUT YAY?鈥� and, 鈥滿adonna has been an out bisexual for literally decades.鈥�
The video builds on a growing trend on the popular platform of people expressing their sexuality by whether they succeed at making a shot into a goal.
Madonna has had a close and long-standing association with the LGBTQ community and is considered a gay icon. She has long teased audiences with suggestions she may in fact be queer herself, most famously when she shared a kiss with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.

Meanwhile Cassandra Petersen, better known as cult figure Elvia, Mistress of the Dark, told TMZ she wasn鈥檛 really surprised by Madonna鈥檚 suggestive video.

Madonna also recently set rumours in gear when she recently kissed bisexual rapper Tokischa in the front row of a show at New York Fashion Week.
In a February appearance on Watch What Happens Live, fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi was asked by host Andy Cohen about Madonna鈥檚 rumoured relationship with actor and comedian Sandra Bernhard in the 1990s.
