At the SCG its just a side show, no support there for the actual Gay community. It makes the event all about using the LGBTIQ community as free performers to exploit so they can make money. Little wonder Clover called it a ‘Prudent’ idea – can’t have the world seeing the sorry state of decline the oxford street precinct has become – moving the parade should hasten the demise of what little is left so more high priced apartments can be sold to people who will complain about noise in the same way as those living next to Luna park did. This was meant to be a celebration of survival and return to normality by putting the pandemic behind us, instead its a continuation of the pandemic – united we hide seems a more apt description.

The organisers, have totally missed the point of Mardi Gras. Instead turning it into a money grabbing dog and pony show, making a profit of something that should be a free event for everyone, not just for the elite with money.

Shame on you, using a global pandemic as an excuse, to profit your own pockets.

Over the moon about sydney cricket ground being next years parade location. Last year was by far the best MG. As much as it might not be great for venues on Oxford street, being able to actually see the parade, be seated, feel the amazing vibes, use toilets and buy drinks all in the comfort of an actual location was absolutely amazing.
