What then?

Change “LGBTQI+” (or “gay” or “transgender”, etc, etc) to “black”…

So the title of this article would become “Australian Church Calls For Ban On Black Student Leaders”

Now THAT would cause a real uproar!

Since 1977 when over 2/3 of Presbyterians joined the Uniting Church, those who refused to unite turned the Presbyterian Church into an ultra- conservative group to rival Sydney Anglicans. Rev. Peter Barnes was the minister at Nambucca Heads where they started a Christian School. He garner publicity by asserting the school’s right to use corporal punishment as appropriate discipline. The Church has always run high quality schools but they are slowly “converting” them into fundamentalist institutions. This church is still opposed to having women as Ministers.
I am so glad I left this Church to join a church that lives in the 21st century.
