There's nothing wrong with being conservative per se, and the LGBTQI conservatives in the UK or NZ can feel pretty satisfied with their respective centre-right parties who legislated marriage equality while in government WITHOUT the completely unnecessary and in fact spiteful public plebiscite campaign. Australians however know the Liberal Party is the very poor cousin of its centre-right cousins in the UK or NZ..
