All 78ers need to speak out about gay pensioners and the terrible fear they are experiencing about the same sex law reforms and the legal anomoly of DSS being able to have THEIR OWN definition of a same sex couple. What sort of equality is that – not the definition the Act puts forward, no DSS are exempt, anyone who has read their guidelines knows how unfair and inequitable this is.
Write to Justice Bell and let her know what you think, she has shown she cares so much about justice, and pensioners in our community are being denied justice. Those in other countries wonder why we are not shoutnig this from the rooftops. Grandfathering arrangements MUST be adopted.
