I came to Sydney for world pride and was unaware of my rights here before hand. Whilst in line a sniffer dog stopped, but didn’t sit. I was asked to move away. And then obliged completely and had a small quantity on me, but I am still in limbo as to what happens next. They have my details but no idea if I what’s happening now… I have been looking forward to these two weeks in Sydney for so long and now I am just caught in a bundle of anxiety and stress and I have had no power in this situation. I felt humiliated in front of my friends and the crowd that saw me get taken away. I have never felt unsafe around police and now whenever I see a police officer, even when I am not doing anything wrong, my anxiety goes to a new level. A shame that they have ruined world pride for me
