Let’s just remember Margaret Court shattered her own credibility when she lied to Australia that we will never have Christmas or Mothers Day again if we have same sex marriage. She chose to do that. Not one Christian supported her. She’s a homophobe as clear as day.

And it was there again this morning when Israel Folau blamed the bushfires on..what else… marriage equality.

Fortunately, in Izzy’s case, the reaction was immediate. It was quite rightly pointed out that every natural disaster going back to before written history has been used by religious leaders and magicians (is there a difference?) to say the gods are angry about whatever agenda they are pushing.

And in Margaret Court’s case, I will never forget Joel Creasey’s amazing response to her involvement in 2017, along the lines of “Who knew Margaret Court was such a homophobe, it makes it even better that the only time I ever went to Margaret Court Arena I scored a great handjob in the mens toilets.”

The haters will always be there but the broader public can see them for who they are, there are fewer reasons to be anxious than ever before.
