Ricky Martin Resumes Concert After Tear Gas Attack At Montenegro Show

Ricky Martin has reassured fans he is safe after a frightening tear gas incident forced him to abruptly leave the stage during a concert in Montenegro this week.
The singer was performing in Podgorica as part of his European tour when someone in the crowd reportedly discharged tear gas toward the stage, triggering panic and temporarily halting the performance.
Despite the disruption, Ricky Martin later returned to continue the concert, telling the audience: 鈥淣othing is going to stop this show. Nothing.鈥�

The incident occurred during the Montenegro stop of the Ricky Martin Live tour, which marked the beginning of the European leg of the international tour following his performances in Australia late last year.
According to a statement from Martin鈥檚 publicist, R贸ndine Alcal谩, 鈥淒uring Ricky Martin鈥檚 concert tonight in Montenegro 鈥� where the artist was kicking off the European leg of his 鈥楻icky Martin Live鈥� tour 鈥� an individual discharged tear gas toward the stage, causing an abrupt interruption of the show.鈥�
鈥淎s a precautionary measure, Ricky Martin and his entire team immediately exited the stage while security personnel and local authorities worked to contain the situation and ensure the safety of those in attendance.鈥�
The concert took place in Podgorica鈥檚 Independence Square as part of celebrations marking 20 years since Montenegro鈥檚 independence from Serbia.
Authorities reportedly secured the area before the singer eventually resumed the performance, despite concerns from some within his entourage.
Fan footage shared online captured Martin鈥檚 return to the stage, where he defiantly addressed the crowd before continuing the concert.

The Grammy winning performer has not personally commented in detail on the incident, however his representative later confirmed: 鈥淩icky Martin and his team are safe and grateful for the support and concern received following tonight鈥檚 events in Montenegro.鈥�
Martin also attempted to lighten the mood during the show, changing the opening lyric of his hit Livin鈥� La Vida Loca from New York to Montenegro.
Martin鈥檚 European tour is set to continue through August, including his first UK performance in more than a decade.

As much as I will also bitch about the price of concert tickets, horrific bullshit behaviour like this will be a great factor in why! That kind of crap is why Entertainment Centre venues like Boondal in Brisbane had to put up marquee tents outside their venue for people to store their bags, following terrorist style episodes around the world. Yet it is a venue that has the facilities built in to cater for this requirement. But due to the various wicked turkeys, whom clearly are prepared to $pend the same amount of (a lot) of money! So they can derive some sickening pleasure in destroying all the other well behaved people鈥檚 longed for night out, watching their favourite performers live on a stage. Only to find it isn鈥檛 the Escape from the real world for just a few hours, because some interminable A-hole has to do bullshit like that! The amount of people whom are prepared to cause such harm in spaces only a marvellous time should only be expected. If they managed to find the noxious weed who did that, along with any jail sentence, should be permanently banned & barred from any such event or venue, for life worldwide! That includes cinemas, outdoor spaces you name it! Keep them away!
